Grandpa’s Vintage Stanley No.4 English Sheffield Hand Plane – Restoration Project I’m selling my grandfather’s old Stanley No.4 plane as I’m downsizing for a house move. This is a classic English-made Stanley (Sheffield) hand plane. It has all the necessary original parts including the blade/iron, chip breaker, lever cap, and depth adjuster. The base and body have surface rust, making it a perfect project for someone who enjoys restoring vintage tools. It still has the original box, though the box is quite worn. Once cleaned up and sharpened, this will be a great usable plane again. Stanley No.4 planes are well respected by woodworkers for quality woodworking.
