Two Day Introduction To Woodturning

Two Day Woodturning Course Friday 12th & Saturday 13th June Time: 9.30am – 4.00pm Our two day woodturning course is designed to cover many aspects of turning including tool selection, sharpening, equipment, skills and safety. This course is suitable for both people with no turning experience as well as those that are looking to regain confidence & brush up on skills after spending time away from the lathe. The extra time on the two day course allows for students to learn tool sharpening techniques and complete a number of projects which may include a garden dibber, candlestick, bowl & egg cup. Projects may vary from course to course due to time constraints. Techniques demonstrated include turning between centres, beads & coves and the use of screw chucks & 4 jaw self-centring chucks. A maximum of 6 participants are taken on each course ensuring you receive adequate attention for the class duration.
