Vintage Record 04 Plane

A Record 04 smoothing plane in very good condition. Made in 1942, the lateral adjustment lever on this plane is marked "War Finish". The cast iron body is in good shape. The adjusters all work perfectly. The Best Crucible Cast Steel blade is full length and I have sharpened and set it ready for use. Due to shortages of brown dyes ( reserved for military camouflage) Record devised a "homemade" paint for the beechwood handles. This tended to wear off with time.
