Auction Year in Review Tractors

As we kick off the new year we take a look back at prices achieved at our auctions in 2023. Almost 10,000 lots went under the hammer in 2023 including a number of special dispersal sales on behalf of farmers across Ireland. In this ad we will take a look at tractors. We will post other ads for other categories of equipment We sold almost 200 tractors in 2023. It was a year of 2 halves for tractors. The trade in the first half of the year was similar to 2022 with all types of tractors selling very well. One of the highlights of the year came in March when we sold a clean 2020 Fendt 718 with a Loader and around 4500 hours on the clock selling for €112,000 plus vat. Eastern European interest was evident for this tractor. Another highlight of the year came in March also when we sold a one owner from new 2000 John Deere 6310 on row crop wheels selling for €24,200 plus vat. This very original tractor turned the heads of some UK and Spanish customers. While the demand was reasonable for tractors in the second half of the year the sting definitely went out of some categories of tractors notably vintage tractors and modern tractors with over 10,000 hours on the clock. On a positive note trade for clean tractors with lower hours on the clock was very strong in the back end of the year. At our December auction 2 Landini tractors that came from the same home were keenly bid for. A 2006 Landini Legend 135 with around 4300 hours sold at €39,000 and a fresher 2014 Land Power 135 with around 2200 hours sold at €56,000.
