James Hayes Machinery Ltd. was established by the late James Hayes in May 1977. Prior to this he operated as a sole trader selling new Universal tractors and other farm machinery over the previous seven years.

Today the company is run by sons Seamus and Noel with Seamus in charge of Hayes Car Sales and Noel responsible for the agri machinery sale trading as Hayesagri.

Hayesagri holds a number of franchises including Same tractors, Major, Krone, Amazone and Conor machinery as well as distributors for Sim Tech drills.
