Tips and guides

Murphy’s Motors is a family run business established in 1960, at a time when mechanised farming began to take hold in Ireland. The current Directors, brother and sister team, Richard and Bernadette Murphy, are the third generation of the Murphy family to be involved in the running of one of southeast Ireland’s leading suppliers of agricultural machinery. Today Murphy’s Motors holds 21 franchises from some of the largest manufacturers in the world, such as New Holland, Abbey, ProDig, Tanco, Zero Grazer, Rossmore Engineering, Q-Bed, Shelbourne Reynolds, Malone, Quicke and Sulky.

The 20 strong team at Murphy’s Motors are very strongly focused on providing industry leading levels of customer service. This commitment is evident in the continuing investment in staff and management training and the introduction of new technology across the business.

Fantastic service and reasonable priced. Superb staff and management

New Holland main dealer, with a few other franchises also. Good parts department and service area.plenty of parking, and prompt attention.

I'm surprised that New Holland would have dealers like this. Total scammers. I made a purchase on their website, they wont dispatch, wont respond to emails and I had to open a case with PayPal to get my money back. Stay away from these thieves!

Went to view a massey 6190 back in the summer 2018, seen the tractor on donedeal looked well but not much details about the tractor so i called and told the owner that i was 100% interested in the tractor and that if the tractor had no problems i would take it today cash. The man on the phone told me it was 100% perfect with no problems so i called into murphy motors after 1 hour drive to view the tractor..took 30 mins to get the tractor started as the starter was f**cked!...but i said id see if at least the engine was good id get it fixed...wires hanging everywhere inside and switches for god only knows what...i then turned on the PTO shaft and the noise from it was very bad...he then told me it needed PTO repair but clearly could not tell me about this on the phone after i asked! Complete waste of time! This is my review on murphy motors i personally wouldnt waste my time with them after that! I only had problems on the used machinery side of things im sure there fine with other sales of new machines!
