Turbo then fitted by Shortens garage (main dealers) in Ballineen. Stayed with that duty till I stopped doing silage, although then as the second tractor soon after. In latter years, it did lime spreading, ploughing in summer and agitating slurry and some dung in the winter. I retired last year and I have no need to hold the tractor any more. Front end. Engine removed and sent to 'Murphy's Engine Overhuals (Cork) in 2023 for full rebuild, with in excess of 5000 euro spent then. Hours clock in the tractor is not working with years, but the tractor has done very little since the overhaul (500 hours max), so its almost as new. Back end. Brakes done by ourselves 15 odd years ago, still perfect. Lift never touched. Has done allot of PTO work throughout its life, never gave any trouble doing so. Hitch perfect, didn't do much in the line of real haulage work while I had it. SLE gearbox, again as it wasn't used for carting much, the SLE gearbox has neve been touched. Cab. A bit tatty. Two spools, Air seat changed 8 years ago. All there, but would do with a cleanup. Exterior. It was resprayed by ourselves 15 years ago approx., with some touchups. No dramatic rust etc. Tires. Rear's: Cultor-S are 70%, Fronts: Agri Max 30%. It drives nice, sweet sounding. Always maintained well by ourselves as we required reliable for our contracting business. Final detail.
