At CASTLEREA AGRICULTURAL SHOW this year in our vintage section we will be celebrating 60 years of MASSEY FERGUSON’S ‘Red Giant’ 100 series tractors in Ireland. Launched to the Irish farmers at the spring show in 1965 the 130, 135, 165 and 175 models were later upgraded to and joined by the 178, 185, 148, 168 and 188 models. It is a testament to the engineering and reliability of these tractors that so many can still be found in use today. So we are asking you, whether you have a Massey 135 or 188, a concurs restoration or a yard scraper to join us as we celebrate this milestone in Irish tractor history.
