Rare John Deere 2040s open to reasonable offers

Rare John Deere 2040s built in the Manheim plant in Germany. The S stands for synchromesh. A bit of a tidyup could double or triple your money as there are none currently available in Ireland & any for sale in Europe & the UK in restored condition are between 12k & 19k, I’m no panel beater myself. Mechanically perfect, starts first tip in any weather & has never left me down. had the entire cooling system replaced including a new radiator & the water pump reconditioned etc not long ago. Never overheated we just decided to replace the whole lot as we had it out as a hole came in the radiator. It’s been run on proper coolant as well not water. All brand new John Deere main dealer parts. It also around the same time had both batteries & 1 front hub replaced, again, all John Deere main dealer parts. Only 2 owners & a brown tax book meaning it can be taxed & insured vintage. I have only used it for cleaning out a horse shed & putting in bales. It is only for sale as I want to buy a smaller more nimble tractor for its stated job that I can drive in the shed myself as it has mostly been my father driving it for me (I won’t win any competitions as a driver) It needs a bodywork tidyup, probably tyres but good second hands can be got most places at handy money, a better seat but a universal seat will fit it, & the lights done (I only use it during the day & not on the road so I just preferred to put my money into maintenance), mud guards repaired or replaced. it is mechanically perfect & drives on without fail & these are all superficial things. It could be a good moneymaker for someone who is good at tidy bodywork. Which I’m not & what I want can be got at the stated price. An ideal vintage refurbishment job.
