Im an extremely experienced auction buyer i have spent alot of money through auctions and irish machinery auctions are by far the worse auction i have ever dealt with bought five washers spent of 2k with the notion that one maybe two wont work ... But all for dont work and two actually went on fire when i plugged them in i rang to explain bot expecting much and was told to get the boat more or less ... Extremely unsafe selling tools or washers like to this BUYER BEWARE

I am afraid this place was not a good experience lad in yard was great but the two people in reception not very good the man was in no way helpful sometimes I think these people think we are their to serve them instead of other way around so won't be in a hurry up their again

Haven't been for a while as charges are too high. Lads in yard very helpful. Will start going again if they bring there charges down.

I'd advise buyers to steer clear unless maybe when it's a semi state company selling off their stuff.  You'd have to ask yourself why individual people sell their stuff on here as opposed to Done deal. The answer, as I've seen, is because it is scrap. Essentially a way of someone chancing their arm and selling their scrap and the buyer having no come back. IrishMachineryAuctions facilitate this, as it's no skin off their nose, they get their commission and aren't interested that another buyer was tricked. Items that are clearly scrap with parts disconnected and missing have their photos taken so as not to reveal this. The guys in the office always fall back on claiming that it's up to the buyer to inspect items before bidding but they know that for smaller items people are busy and generally won't have time, and instead trust IrishMachineryAuctions to put up fair photos and declare if something is obviously for breaking or parts. If you want to sell your scrap and instead of recycling it IrishMachineryAuctions will play along with this in deceiving the buyer.
