1951 DKW RT 200

My beautiful DKW RT 200 is up for sale. This is the big brother to the DKW RT125W and is a very rare (invalids conversion) hand gear change, rigid rear suspension model. This bike starts, goes and stops very well, due to selected reliability based modifications including: Vape 12V Conversion kit fitted for reliable lighting and starting/running. Mikuni carburettor and K&N air filter, engineer tuned to suit fitted period correct performance exhaust. New brake shoes and linings from Germany, matched to all new cables. This bike has pretty much new everything, including piston & rings, rebore (in Germany), all new engine/transmission bearings and seals and engine blueprinted during reassembly by qualified engineer. All chassis & wheel bearings replaced and has near new tyres. NOTE: All original parts (exhaust, carburettor, 6V electrical system), will be provided to the new keeper, should they desire to return the bike to standard. I privately imported this bike from Germany and have the Irish Log Book (in my name) to hand. Bike is advertised elsewhere and ad will be removed if sold via that channel.
