The Ténéré models were built as homologation bikes, allowing Yamaha to transfer Dakar styling, technology and endurance credibility to the public — even in 125cc form! Powered by Yamaha’s famous 2 stroke liquid cooled 125cc YPVS engine, this lightweight adventure bike delivered performance far beyond most 125s of its era, wrapped in true desertvrally looks with its long range tank and long travel suspension. These bikes were produced in limited numbers and are now extremely hard to find! This example has been recommissioned and is mechanically very well sorted. Work carried out includes new tyres front and rear, new air filter, oil and filter service, new battery, new inlet manifold rubber, fully cleaned and balanced carburettor. Starts easily, runs cleanly and rides very well.
