87 Suzuki GS450E – Vintage

For sale is my 1987 Suzuki GS450E, a rare and charming classic that paved the way for the popular GS500. Powered by a 450cc air-cooled parallel twin (approx. 35–40 HP), this bike is lightweight, nimble, and incredibly fun to ride. It is a compact, manageable bike that is highly suited for shorter riders, yet comfortable enough for me (at 5'11") for 2–3 hour trips. Purchased as a winter project last year, the bike was stripped to the bare frame and rebuilt from the ground up with no expense spared. Key Restoration Details: Chassis & Cosmetics: Powder-coated frame and swingarm. Fully repainted blue bodywork with OEM-style custom decals. Reupholstered seat. Engine, Clutch & Controls: Complete engine rebuild using genuine Suzuki/NOS parts and Athena gaskets. Carbs rebuilt with new floats, jets, and rubbers. Brand new TRW clutch with EBC springs. Every single control cable (throttle, clutch, choke) is brand new. Handling & Brakes: All-new Koyo bearings (wheels & headstock). Upgraded YSS Eco rear shocks. Rebuilt forks (new seals & 10W oil). Rebuilt front master cylinder and caliper, HEL braided line, new disc/pads, and new rear shoes. New tires/tubes. Electrical: Rebuilt starter motor. Upgraded MOSFET regulator/rectifier for bulletproof reliability, plus a direct coil power supply mod. Since the rebuild, I have ridden 2,000 flawless miles.
