BMW R100RS 1980

As I’m selling part of my BMW collection, I’m offering this classic BMW R100RS 1980 for sale. The bike is currently without the OEM fairing, giving it a clean naked classic / cafe racer OEM style. 44k miles on the clock. Dry stored in the garage. The carburetors were rebuilt esternally and internally around 150 miles ago. I've got also a spare rebuild kit included. The bike has also been serviced and fitted with a new battery. The motorcycle comes with multiple spare parts, including a complete spare OEM rear seat + fairing combo. The current seat has a small tear, repaired with waterproof leather-style tape. It also recently received a new YSS rear shock and fresh oil change. Optionally available is a brand-new cafe racer / brat-style rear subframe with matching mono seat (visible in the photos), fully professional painted in black. The frame is custom made for R100RS but mount also in other models. I never had the time to finish the full cafe racer conversion, so I continued enjoying the bike with the original long 2-person seat. Custom rear frame and mono seat were never used, only test-fitted. The custom rear frame and mono seat are not included in the asking price and will only be sold separately after the motorcycle is sold. The BMW R100RS is powered by a 980cc four-stroke, air-cooled twin-cylinder boxer engine producing 70 hp at 7,000 rpm and 76 Nm (56 lb-ft) of torque at 6,000 rpm. This bike would make a great base for a full cafe racer conversion, or it can simply be enjoyed as it is now with its more classic OEM-inspired look.
