Yamaha YR5/RD 350 Running Project 1972

HERE IS A VERY RARE FIND A YAMAHA YR5 350 TWIN TWO STROKE THE PREDECESSOR OF THE YAMAHA RD 350 WHICH RAN FROM 1970 TO 1972 WHICH REVOLUTIONISED MOTORCYCLING WITH THERE QUICK RESPONCE AND WHEELIE ABILITIES FROM THE THROTTLE WITHOUT EFFORT. This bike is a 1972 registered bike in the rare mandarin and white colour scheme. It is matching numbers and comes with the Original Yamaha key and also the Ultra Rare Air box cover. The Bike has stood for many years and with the carbs cleaned,New battery,and fresh fuel it fired up and is running Sweetly with NoTop end Rattles which they were known for. Also i rode it briefly today so It Starts,rides,stops and all the Electric's are working. As Stated it has Stood for many years SO IT WILL NEED A GOOD CHECK OVER AND SERVICEING SO PLEASE DO NOT EXPECT TO BE RIDING OFF INTO THE SUN SET STRAIGHT AWAY. It has 38000 kilometres/24000 miles The Bike has just come from Europe with European paperwork so the re registration/VRT is Free and it will Qualify for Vintage Tax of €26 The bike is a Blank canvas for the Lucky New Owner as it has Never Been Got at before and Presents in its Original state with No modification ETC, The Bike could be made road wordy and used As Is or alternatively Restore it to its former Glory as the Winter nights are Fast approaching. Unfortunately cosmetically it can be improved with the chrome work showing some of its 53 years old with speckling and a Re paint would leave it Beautiful again.
