1957 Chevy Bel Air

Stunning 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air 4 door sedan for sale. Reluctant sale. Original California car. Drives great, the car is mechanically sound. Has its original 283 cu V8 engine and automatic 2-speed "power glide" gearbox. It also has the non standard optional extras of power steering and air conditioning from 1957. The car was first imported into Ireland in 1994 and has been garage stored since then. The previous owner carried out a massive amount of work in 2004 as follows: A complete engine rebuild and the following new parts fitted: . A new camshaft, new oil pump, new gaskets, new Mallory Breakerless distributor, new Holley carburetor, new fuel pump, new timing chain, new gears, new water pump, rebuild kits fitted to the wheel brake cylinders and master cylinder. The interior also had a refurbishment while remaining completely faithful to its original condition. A new headcloth was fitted, new carpets and the seats were refurbished. The exterior also received a fresh re-paint in 2004. The car was purchased by me in 2009 and has just had casual sunday drives since then while being garage stored and carefully maintained. The car has its original miles, these cars were built to last!! And on close inspection, it has some slight cosmetic signs of age in the bodywork. These factors are reflected in the asking price.
