Having undergone a complete aesthetic and mechanical restoration, this incredible example is simply sensational. After travelling across the Atlantic to Portugal in the late ‘60s to be part of a private collection, this Impala Super Sport found its way to Irish shores in 2020 and has been lovingly restored by its previous owner since arriving here to ensure the car scores excellently in all departments and is just as it would have been when initially sold by Cox Chevrolet in Bradenton, Florida. Although already in wonderful rust-free condition, the body was treated to a complete photographed bare-metal respray in its original colour of Daytona Blue with all stainless trim professionally polished and new genuine items sourced where necessary. A brand new colour-matched soft top has been fitted, too. A glorious complete new interior, including carpet, was also sourced and fitted along with new fixtures and fittings including new handles, window cranks, steering wheel and horn ring, new seat belts and lots more. The mechanical aspects of the car received the same attention and care, too. The original 283ci (4.6l) V8 was completely professionally rebuilt with all new parts, and the suspension, brakes and steering all received new parts where necessary. All in all, no expense has been spared or stone unturned in the quest to make this desirable and spectacular car what it is today. A detailed history file accompanies the car complete with its original build sheet, photographic documentation of the restoration and a huge stack of invoices and receipts.
