1964 Rover P4 95 – 2.6 Straight Six

A very attractive and increasingly unusual 1964 Rover P4 95, offered for sale by Pristine Classics on behalf of its owner. Finished in dark grey with a beautiful deep red interior and timber trim, this is a wonderfully traditional British luxury saloon with a particularly interesting documented history. 2,625 cc straight-six petrol 4-speed manual Right-hand drive Irish registered – 64 KY 10005 Chassis – 76001914A The Rover has a documented history spanning Britain, Germany and Ireland. Earlier records show the car carrying the British registration VKX 659J, before subsequently being registered in Germany and eventually coming to Ireland. The present owner purchased the Rover in Germany in 2016 and subsequently commissioned an extensive program of mechanical and structural work at a specialist garage, the resulting invoice was €13,524.20. Work included extensive brake overhaul, new brake master cylinder, brake servo, steering overhaul, track-rod ends, engine servicing and tuning, ignition and carburetor work, gearbox and gear-linkage repairs, radiator repair, cooling-system work, speedometer repair, electrical work and structural repairs to the boot/floor area followed by cavity and underbody protection. Recently, the owner got an 123 Electronic Ignition system fitted. The car presents very attractively today while retaining the character and patina of a genuine 1960s classic. The deep red interior is particularly attractive, with front and rear bench seating, folding armrests, matching trim, extensive timberwork and Rover's distinctive period dashboard. Rear-hinged rear doors provide excellent access to the remarkably spacious rear passenger compartment. The exterior retains its original-style chrome bumpers and overriders, Rover hubcaps, imposing P4 grille and a collection of period motoring badges. The Rover P4 95 was one of the final developments of the famous P4 series. Only around 3,680 examples were produced, making the 95 relatively uncommon today.
