For Sale: 1970 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia – California Import I'm selling my low-mileage Karmann Ghia with only 54,000 miles. Substantial paperwork comes with the car, including a comprehensive folder of invoices and receipts dating back decades, as well as the U.S. title. It left Los Angeles, California, in 1994 and was imported into Ireland with what is now a low-number Dublin registration, 70-D-801. The car is exceptionally complete and retains many of the hard-to-source original Karmann-specific parts. It is finished in an attractive blue and white two-tone colour scheme with an immaculate original interior. The body requires some welding. It has corrosion in the outer sills and some bubbling on the front bonnet, but the floorpans are excellent and require no welding. Overall, it is a very solid, complete project and an ideal rolling restoration. As a 1970 classic, it is NCT exempt. Also have a good chrome front bumper to go with the car.
