1992 Volvo 940 GL Estate Auto Redblock

1992 Volvo 940 GL Estate Auto 2.0 Petrol Very genuine 940 GL estate. These are getting hard to come by now, especially straight ones that haven’t been messed with. Carries that timeless, understated Volvo estate look proper old school presence. 2.0 petrol automatic. Northern Ireland registered and over there since 2023. V5C there. Good bit of history and receipts with it going back to nearly new I bought it in South Kensington in London and drove it back to Northern Ireland in summer 2023. Over 700 miles done, including time around the Cotswolds, and it ran perfect the whole way. That was the reason I bought it, it just drove right. Since then it has only done about 175 miles and has been in storage the last 3 years, so it’s still a very honest, original car. It’s the redblock engine in it, anyone that knows these will know what they’re about. Strong, simple and built to last. They don’t give trouble if looked after. It got a new battery, plugs and a general check over when I took it out. Starts and drives up and down the road no problem. Engine and gearbox are as they should. No rattles bangs etc very smooth Body is straight. Only thing worth mentioning is a bit of light surface rust around the battery tray, nothing major or structural. Because it’s been sitting it will need a proper going over before being put back into regular use, fluids, brakes etc. Nothing out of the ordinary. VRT is about 200 euro and classic tax is 56 a year, so cheap to get on the road. Car is in storage at my home place in Tipperary. I’m based in Fermanagh so if someone is genuinely interested I’ll sort a time to view it. My Private plate not staying on it, it’ll go back on its original reg. Only reason I’m selling it is I need the space, otherwise I’d keep it. If you’re looking for one of these you’ll know what you’re looking at. Not in a rush to sell it.
