American 1969 Dodge A108 Van Project For Sale

1969 Dodge A108 van project for sale. All EU import taxes paid but not yet registered. Comes from Texas and is sold with a Texas title and EU import paperwork. Dry stored in Oklahoma since I bought it and dry stored here since it arrived in Ireland. It's never seen rain or damp here in Ireland. Scruffy but is very clean underneath - structurally where it counts. All sheetmetal; door openings, doors, floorpans, roof etc very solid. There is no engine but we know of a good Dodge 318 V8 and 727 Torqueflite automatic available in NI for £800 - perfect for this van. Automatic dashboard shifters are still available and easy to hook up because they are cable operated. And as it's a Dodge all the furniture is much cooler looking than the Ford and Chevy stuff, which is a bit utilitarian. Driveshaft, engine doghouse and front grille are in the van (front grille is a bit bent and needs straightening out). New/ replacement light trim rings for it and new front and rear light lenses. The headlamps themselves are the standard larger sizes - easily and cheaply available. Also have new door locks, ignition barrel & keys for it. Big and little slot mags that will polish up really well and relatively new tyres. A pair of blue high back seventies Dodge van seats which would be perfect for this van since they match the blue door panels on the '69. Apart from a good clean and the wheels polished, it's going to need the engine and transmission putting in. A battery, wiring, the lights and gauges hooking up, door rubbers, possibly new flat glass for the windshields, brake work (I'm not sure what's inside the drums) and the bugs working out. All in all a relatively easy project because it's so simple it's a basic engine, manual steering manual brakes (although servo systems are available), manual windows, locks etc. These vans are now getting a cool following Stateside with active Facebook groups for support and parts supply. €4000 or £3500 Sterling.
