Austin A35 1957

1957 Austin A35 for sale. Some recent work done on the car includes, Polarity changed to negative earth which to allow the fitting of more modern (from the 1960’s on) electrical items. Radio fitted Voltmeter fitted (there is a healthy charge when running) Temperature gauge fitted (No waiting for steam from under the bonnet to realise you are over heating!) Oil pressure gauge fitted (good pressure running and at idle) All lights upgraded to LED to reduce strain on the wiring and to improve lighting all round. Trafficators fitted in addition to the indicators for that period look. Radials all round including the spare. When I bought the car I got it on a ramp and had it inspected it for rust. Only some minor patches were found and these were treated. Drivers seat base has been reupholstered. Car has been fully serviced and the Zenith carb and manifold replaced with an SU carb as fitted to later models. All electrical items have been routed through a new fuse box in addition to the original for safety. The original carb with manifold comes with the car along with some spares. The spotlights on the car are original and working. The water pump was replaced just before I bought it. The car is a first time starter and runs well. The Bad Points. The rear shocks are the lever type as are the fronts. The rear one are leaking oil and could really do with being replaced. Refurbished ones are available form the UK.
