Cool old left hand drive flat fronted American 1969 Chevy G10 van with a lot of patina but solid underneath. Selling because I just don't drive it in the 3 years I’ve had it and I need to thin the herd.
The only one in Ireland and only a couple of this type of van in the UK.
All EU import taxes paid & North Dakota title so you can register & VRT it for €200.
Chevy 305 engine with early heads, intake & carb. HEI ignition for reliability. Unfortunately the front crank seal leaks too much so it needs to come out (a day’s work) and replace the front crank seal. I also have a 1976 Chevy 350 engine complete from Quadrajet carb to oil pan and exhaust manifolds with a short section of exhaust pipe that can go with the van at the right price.
It's an easy project; the engine runs and drives, all the brakes and shocks are new, it has a new fuel tank and sender, the engine has a new fuel pump & water pump (but the builder put it on a bad rotating assembly!). New windscreen and seal. There is some old stereo wiring under the dash which needs pulling out and reducing to just the essentials (these vans are very basic electrically & mechanically – there’s hardly anything to go wrong).
In reality, I don’t have the time to build it how I want because I'll be renovating a house soon, so I’ve decided to let someone else do the work.
It has a set of original chromed Camaro Rallye wheels with Stainless steel trim rings and Camaro/ Corvette Derby wheel centres with good white letter tyres.
Inside is all original with the original green seats and sun visors which need recovering, the floor needs a small patch on the driver’s side and a carpet putting in. The original owner paneled the back half in wood.
It has a cool roof rack and rear ladder and a ‘Venturi Vent’ on the roof – which sell for up to $1000 in the US in good condition! It’s an opening roof vent with front flaps like the flaps on a muscle car hood scoop. Please call rather than text. Thanks Nick
