EP82 Toyota Starlet GT Turbo

I recently had the experience of importing a car using the services of JDM Auction Watch. I sent a general Email to them and Ross replied fairly promptly with a bit of back and forth about what I was after, a Toyota Camry Hybrid. Quickly he provided pictures of a Grade 4.5 car. And after musing over it for a day or so I decided to go for it. It's nice that you don't have to give all of the money upfront and can stagger the payment in a few transactions. After this Marta made everything really easy in terms of any administration that was required in relation to the transaction. She made things very straightforward and was a pleasure to deal with. When the car arrived picking it up was very easy using their VRT registration service. The condition was beyond my expectations. It even came with a pile of service history and many panels and trim pieces still have the factory plastic protection on them which is insane for a 9 year old car. I feel I did a lot better for the money than you would do knocking around some garages. One downside was that I had requested a car with two keys and although the car did come with 2 keys one of them is just a remote fob for some other Toyota. I found this a little disappointing but would not necessarily remove a star for it. One of my family members is very focused on the year of a vehicle so I knew they would be more fussy than myself. This person remarked positively that the car was "in seriously excellent condition" and this was the biggest test this car could have gone through! I would use JDM Auction Watch again and am going to be looking for another vehicle again very soon. The pen and air freshener with the paperwork was a nice touch also.

Very good experience importing 4yo car purchased via auction from Japan. Excellent and professional service throughout from Ross who was always available for any questions along the way. Found whole process very transparent and car did not disappoint when it arrived. Availed of VRT service which allowed car simply be driven home on collection. Need to be patient alright in waiting for car to arrive (took a little over 3 months) but that’s just the way it is when importing from far side of Asia
