Ford Cortina Estate

This is my Mark 5 Cortina Estate which I own for the last 10 years. I bought it in the UK after receiving a bare metal re build and restoration over several years. I have a complete photo album of the rebuild. I bought it with some minor bits to be completed. For the rebuild all suspension components were sand blasted and powder coated red. Poly bushes replaced all rubbers. It was lowered 1 inch on uprated springs with Gaz adjustable dampers. All new consumables and 2.8 Capri discs and Princess 4 pot calipers. The 2.1 L was rebuilt with 90 thou oversized Hepolite pistons lightened and balanced with a ported head and high lift cam running a 40 DGAS twin choke and Ashley manifold to give 150BHP. It has a mark 4 grille fitted and 15 inch RS wheels diamond faced with powdered coated black gloss inserts. The front seats are recarro seats from a Rover 820 Vitesse adopted to Cortina runners with Rover material used to cover back seats and roof lining so it all matches. It was a spectacular car to drive. There was so much more detail in the nut and bolt restoration. Too much to list. That was all done over ten years ago. The car has not been driven for the last 8 years. I had a few clutch cable breakages so i took out the porcelain clutch and converted to standard. Separately a plug broke and damaged the cylinder. I had the engine out and decided to change the set up. I bought new rings and pistons from Ford Burton Power in the UK with a full set of Gaskets etc. The work never commenced. The engine is out and full stripped. .The last few pictures show it on a trailler. It will need to be polished to bring the paint back bright and shiny. The interior is as in phtos perfect There is a small rust line on the boot door. I believe I still have a can of the original paint. Thank you for reading my add.
