Mk2 Ford Escort RS2000 – Bare Metal Restoration I’ve decided to put my Ford Escort RS2000 up for sale. The car has undergone a full bare-metal restoration. It started as a very solid shell originally from Queensland, Australia, imported to the UK in 2015. The engine is a Pinto with work carried out by the previous owner. I don’t have the full engine spec but it runs very well and pulls strongly. My aim with the car was to keep it as close to original as possible while improving reliability. Spec / work carried out: • Facet fuel pump • Electronic ignition • 38/32 Webers • Modified cylinder head • Battery relocated to boot • Full wiring overhaul • Seats retrimmed in correct Beta cloth I’ve probably missed a few details but the car has had a lot of time and money spent on it during the restoration.
