Jaguar Mk2 / Daimler V8 250 Project

Daimler V8 250 / Jaguar Mk2 Project We got this car 3 years ago as a project, and are now looking to move on due to time constraints. This is an original Dublin registered car and has been in long term dry storage so the shell is in really good condition and any rust that was present has been dealt with. The car was originally a V8 Automatic and has been converted to 2.4 XK engine with a Moss 4 speed gear box. We purchased the XK engine 1 year ago and it was rebuilt by the previous owner some years back with new pistons and carbs rebuilt. We have only heard the car run briefly as it was not set up properly but there was no smoke and all seemed fine. The engine is at the point where it could be got running reliably, The timing has been set and rebuilt distributor with new points has been fitted. In the time we have owned the car we have fitted a lot of new parts. The includes, •Radiator recored and pressure tested • New engine mounts • New rad hoses • New HT leads •New Dynamo and Fan Belt • Wosp high torque starter • Clutch re lined and new pressure plate fitted • New clutch master and slave cylinder • All brakes has new seals fitted with new flexi and hard pipes (Will need to be freed up from sitting) • Re built wiper motor • Full stainless exhaust fitted • Gear box fluid change Electric fuel pump working well. The car retains the Daimler factory LSD, Non power steering rack fitted. The sunroof mechanism and drains have been re built. The car comes with numerous spares. I also have the original V8 with bell housing and drive shaft available at extra cost. To recap the shell is very solid and rust free including the wings and rear pockets. The car does not have an interior, will need seats and carpets. I may consider a swap for a well running Morris Minor. Call Sean 0872688072
