Vehicle Overview
Description
There’s something properly honest about a good Mercedes-Benz 190E 2.0. No drama, no nonsense — just that solid, over-engineered feel that made people fall in love with Mercedes in the first place. This one is finished in Willow Green, a colour that suits the shape perfectly. It’s subtle, period-correct and just different enough to stand out without shouting about itself. The bodywork is excellent overall. There are one or two very small imperfections and the odd touch-up as you’d expect on a car of this age, but importantly there is no rust present. The usual areas — inside the wheel arches, around the common trouble spots — are clean and solid. It’s a straight, honest example that hasn’t been messed with. Inside is where this car really sets itself apart. It’s a very high-spec car with full leather, factory sunroof, factory air conditioning, four electric windows and an electric driver’s seat. It even retains its original overmats, which is always nice to see. The upgraded alloy wheels sit nicely on the car and complete the look without taking away from its originality. On the road, it’s exactly what you’d hope for. It drives extremely well — tight, composed and smooth. The stainless steel exhaust from the centre box back gives it a slightly crisper note without being intrusive. We’ve just fully serviced it ourselves, and the rear diff seal has been replaced, so it’s been properly gone through. The engine bay is very presentable and, again, clean in all the right places. All in all, this is a very, very nice 190E. Not a show queen, not a project — just a genuinely good, well-specced example that you can get in, enjoy and be proud of. A very sensible entry point into classic Mercedes ownership at only €9,995. If you’ve been thinking about one, this is the sort that makes sense.

I recently purchased an e46, 320Ci off Simon from Deane Motors. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience from start to finish. From the first call on Tuesday to picking up the car on Friday, the process was seamless! Someone who really knows their stuff and values his customers. Would highly recommend to anyone in the market.

I just got my Ferrari back from Simon and the lads today after a serious engine out service. They got straight into the job when the took in the car and had it back in a very reasonable timeframe. The lads kept me up to date throughout with videos, photos and general updates. You wouldn't get this level of transparency from a Main Dealer. There were unforeseen issues along the way but they just got on with it and were able to order awkward parts where possible and had parts made where they were not available or too expensive to buy. Very few mechanic operations left of this type in Ireland with this wealth of knowledge and experience and they are not afraid to work on the higher end old cars. I will definitely be back to them for any future maintenence. Now all I need is a dry day to enjoy this V8 on the backroads again!!

Recently purchased my M4 from Simon and he was a pleasure to deal with from day one. After delivery there were some minor issues with the car, which were unknown to Simon and his Team, but he took the car back and fixed everything. He even provided a loan car to keep me on the road for a few days. As above, a pleasure to deal with and I can’t wait to do business with them again soon. Also a quick shout out to Simon Walsh who was so helpful throughout.
