Rare Mercedes Classic 1962 W121 19b Ponton for sale. Please note, If my reserve is not met I will keep the vehicle. This vehicle deserves to go to a good home and be driven regularly. This vehicle was purchased for that very purpose, but due to unforeseen unfortunate family circumstances it does not get driven as much as it should. The vehicle had extensive restoration work completed in the early 2000's by a Mercedes specialist paint and body shop in Wales. It required some tidying when I acquired it, but has always been a fun and pleasurable car to drive. Works completed since I acquired the vehicle include; • All import duties and VAT paid. • Vehicle reregistered in Ireland. • Full engine service, new plugs, points, filters and oils etc. • Full set of new carpets. • New door locks • New Bowden cables for the heating system. • Replacement heater motor for the left hand heater. • New heater ducting pipes. • NOS indicator switch fitted. • Various wiring issues corrected. • Refurbished ignition switch. • New OEM wing mirrors The vehicle runs and drives nicely for a sixty two year old car: It can match motorway traffic and putters along very smoothly. Unfortunately at the moment it only gets brought out for short runs to the shops and the garage for fuel etc. but when the weather is dry we will go to car meets.
