Mercedes Benz 300D W123 1983.

With a heavy heart I am selling this car. Mercedes Benz 300D with rare and economical 5 speed manual transmission. I have invested great care and resources over 12 years of ownership - a list of measures too long to convey but I'll give it a try: Complete respray x 2. Replacement of bonnet, front lights, front grille, front bumper, front wings, engine and transmission mounts, reconditioned starter motor, thermostat and water pump, new hood vent, rear window and boot seals, works done on rear quarter panels and all 4 doors, driveshaft, clutch, clutch master cylinder, carrier bearing, flexi disc, rear CV boots, all 4 brake calipers/discs, exhaust line, and most recently new heater plug relay and brand new front shocks. A couple of bodywork issues have become apparent in recent days and I no longer have the capacity to rectify. These issues are: Driver's side bonnet hinge failure, rear left suspension to body mount failure, window glass coming away from runners on all doors except driver's side, some wear on driver's seat fabric and vertical pillar piping. Some water getting in to rear foot well. Oh and the horn struggles to sound. This lovely old car comes with 2 keys, two spare Mexican hat alloy wheels and some spare parts: brand new and hard to find rear brake disc shields and outer door rubber window seals. Taxed until July 2026 and of course, NCT exempt. This 43 year old panzer tank would make an ideal project car with some work to return it to glorious condition (again). It has been an absolute pleasure to drive. Now I believe it is someone else's time to give it a good home.
