Mercedes S Class W116 1977 450 SEL

Beautiful first generation S Class with the mighty 4.5 Litre V8 engine. Originally imported into Ireland in 2004 from Australia by an Australian diplomat who owned the car for over 40 years! It's 364k kilometres were mostly ran on the dry roads of Western Australia, for it's first 27 year so there is no rust on the car and the chrome is in great condition also. The car has been garaged and kept in dry storage when not in use. I have only taken it out in the summer. The interior is in excellent condition also ,with no imperfections. Some mod cons added by the last owner including: => Immobiliser; => SatNav; => Radio/Aux/Blutooth; =>Reversing Camera; => Burlwood Gear Shift; =>Battery Isolator Switch. Taxed until June 2026 It also has a lovely Nardi Mercedes Wood Steering Wheel in Dark African Mahogany. However, I retained the original steering wheel which comes with the car for those who want the original look. The Car comes with stacks of paperwork and the original 1977 manual. It is extremely fun to drive with the smoothness and comfort you would expect from a top end Benz and with a little press of the foot on the accelerator you unleash all the power and amazing sound from it's mighty V8 4.5 engine, which leaves the modern motorist doing a double take on the Irish Motorways! It's very rare to find a first generation W116 S Class in Ireland in such good condition--a credit to it's past owners. I am reluctantly selling this car to make room for a new project.
