Mini 1100 Special (NCT exempt, vintage tax)

Only ~5100 of the Mini 1100 Special edition were produced between 1979 and 1980. They only came in two colours, metallic silver with black vinyl roof or rose metallic with a tan vinyl roof. This is the only round nosed Mini that ever came with an 1100cc engine from the factory and it was the first special edition to mark 20 years of Mini production. Not many of these still exist! This car has an extensive and interesting history (see pictures), spending its first 17 years in a museum in a Mini dealership in the UK with only delivery mileage on it. The car retains all the original features of the 1100 Special edition but has been fully mechanically upgraded to make it more reliable, safe and comfortable to drive on modern roads. The car is in excellent mechanical condition, starts every time and drives perfectly. The body is solid but will require attention in some areas in the coming years.
