Description
1993 Mitsubishi Shogun 3.0 V6 Diamond Edition – Manual – 7 Seater There are certain cars that you just know are going to become properly collectible, and we think the second-generation Mitsubishi Shogun is firmly heading that way. The problem is finding one like this. This is a 1993 UK-specification Shogun 3.0 V6 Diamond, fitted with the 3.0-litre petrol V6 and, unusually, a five-speed manual gearbox. Add seven seats and just under 80,000 miles and it becomes a very rare thing indeed. But specification aside, it’s the condition that makes this one. It is quite simply one of the nicest early Shoguns we have seen. Finished in deep burgundy over silver, it still has exactly the chunky, slightly over-engineered appearance that made these such desirable things in the early ’90s. Original Mitsubishi alloys, side steps, bull bar, rear-mounted spare and tow bar – it just looks right. Being a Diamond, the specification is exceptional. Full grey leather with heated front seats, electric sunroof, cruise control, adjustable suspension, ABS, tinted glass, rear locking differential and seven-seat configuration. It also has the optional additional wood trim throughout the cabin including the wood-rimmed steering wheel and gear knob. Even the original Shogun/Pajero overmats remain in place. The condition inside is remarkable and it has that wonderful 1990s Japanese feel where seemingly every switch, lever and control was engineered to last forever. Mechanically, we’ve gone through the car properly. It has received a full service together with a new clutch, injectors, spark plugs, distributor cap, rotor arm, ignition leads and coil. It has also received a new distributor, throttle-position sensor, crankshaft sensor and camshaft sensor. In short, the ignition and engine-management side has been comprehensively gone through and it’s now ready to simply get in and use. It comes with a very good history file containing paperwork and invoices along with two sets of keys. Early Shoguns are finally beginning to receive the recognition they deserve. Most lived exactly the sort of hard life you’d expect a proper 4x4 to live, meaning genuinely exceptional survivors are becoming increasingly difficult to find. A UK-spec 3.0 V6 manual Diamond, seven seats, under 80,000 miles and in this condition is a seriously unusual thing. We’ve certainly never had another one like it. A proper 1990s Japanese 4x4, exceptionally well preserved, hugely practical and genuinely usable – and quite possibly one of those cars we’ll all wish we’d bought when they were still affordable.

I bought my first Classic Pajero from Simon recently. From my first interaction with Simon to delivery I had a very pleasant experience. When viewing the vehicle, I took my time and Simon let me take as long as I wanted and he was there in the background to answer any questions I had. I felt very comfortable throughout the viewing. Due to my personal circumstances, the purchase took a little longer than usual, and Simon was very understanding about this. I came away with a beautiful Pajero and felt confident and extremely happy with my purchase. I can’t speak highly enough of Simon and his team. Finally I’d just like to say, I’m not a collector or dealer, I just turned 50 and decided to treat myself, so if you are thinking of your first classic car, I can highly recommend Deane Motors and Simon.

Simon is an absolute gent, I was stuck for a way to get out to the dealership and he picked me up from Dublin City centre (now that was him being sound, don’t expect him to do that for you too!) but the whole way out I got to learn alot about life and business from him! A very genuine man, absolutely does not fit the stereotype of a sleazy salesman trying to rip you off! He’s genuinely prioritising a great customer experience for you over squeezing any bit of extra cash out of you! They’ve a serious collection of motors on offer there too! I highly highly recommend 🫡

I recently sold my Ferrari thru Simon and I was truely impressed. Simon was very professional and kept me updated thru out the sale process. Everything on the sale was transparent and there were no hassles. All payments to me were made promptly. Thanks very much Simon and all the best in your business. Kind Regards Anba S
