MK1 Golf 1.8 Gti, Original DX engine & Gearbox

Bought by me in 2001 from a VW enthuaist / VW dealership family in Poulton Le Flyde, Lancashire. The car comes with an extensive service history and was serviced at Awesome Gti Warrington from 2001 to 2005. Modifications include, Sebring cup wing mirrors, Wolfsburg 3 Spoke steering wheel, 3 white vdo centre console gauges, MK2 Gti front seats, a single/mono wiper conversion ( requires new wiper motor) a genuine set of 7x15 Borbet T alloy wheels, genuine Dub Sport upper rear stainless steel strut brace, genuine VW sport front upper aluminium strut brace & lower steel wishbone strut brace. The Car driven without ever an issue, all over Ireland, Wales, Scotland & England. I put the car off the road & in dry storage in 2006, as I returned from England was living in Dublin City. Mechanically the engine has never failed to start & is currently sounding and running as good as it always did, currently idles & makes correct temperatures with no issues, new Bosch fuel pump & Bosch fuel accumulator, note this car was started 3 or 4 times a year since it went into storage. As can be seen from the photos the car is generally in good condition for its age, underbody protective sealant & cavity waxoyl was renewed by previous owner, due to time off road attention will obviously be required on, suspension, brakes & bodywork, a replacement front scuttle is required, a new front & rear valance panel, the bodywork appears to be generally, in decent condition considering the age, but it will need bodywork attention, internally it appears to be in excellent condition, the fuel filler neck, front turrets boot & spare wheel well, fire wall all appear to be in great condition with no signs of corrosion, electrically everything is working as it should be, the dash is in super condition as are seats, door cards, roof lining etc, a decent and complete running example of a MK1 Golf Gti, I had never intended selling, however a new house & family take priority - recent videos sent on request.
