Original Irish Range Rover Suffix-D Project

Registered new in Dublin 1976 this is an Irish survivor which retains its original chassis, brown book and many of its Suffix D designated parts such as: front wing mounted mirrors, metal bumpers, black vinyl C-Pillars and drop down rear license plate holder and toolkit. The engine with the car is a later ~1982 3. 5L V8 engine (higher compression than the original fitted in 1976) and a 5-speed LT77 gearbox is fitted (more refined than the original 4 speed with overdrive). The engine is not seized and has been fitted with new spark plugs and ignition leads. It is currently drained of all fluids. A new alternator, fuel pump, filters and many other parts accompany the vehicle, it is almost complete. The mileage is an assumed 1XX, XXX value. The vehicle drove surprisingly well when it moved under it's own power, the clutch is sharp and the gearbox is without issue. The brakes discs and pads will need replacing. The self levelling rear suspension still functions. The rear windscreen surround has been replaced, the four Rostyle wheels have been reconditioned and repainted in their correct silver, new tyres have been fitted all around. It has rust in the typical areas of such Range Rovers, thankfully nothing which cannot be repaired with new/ fabricated panels. Areas include: driver's footwell, driver's lower A pillar, behind both rear arches, base of driver's side B-pillar, and driver's side front wing, driver's door, and LHS rear arch body panel. The chasis has been inspected, it is structurally sound with only surface rust to note (Irish roads historically were not salted in winter months like the UK) and has been treated with rust neutralizing solution. The original side exit exhaust exists, however there is a section of exhaust missing to mate the manifold to the exhaust pipe. The interior wears its age, the original carpets and sound deadening for the rear boot are included. This is an original unrestored Range Rover Suffix. Open to reasonable offers.
