Original Irish registered Jaguar XJ6

1986 Jaguar XJ6 4.2 Sovereign Series III, finished in British Racing Green with contrasting leather interior. Original Irish-registered car with approximately 89,000 miles and a particularly nice history. The previous owner kept the Jaguar for 28 years, and the car retains its original purchase invoice, book pack and two keys. Powered by the classic 4.2-litre Jaguar straight-six engine with automatic transmission, giving the smooth and refined driving experience for which the Series III XJ6 is renowned. The car presents very well for its age and has benefited from a number of improvements, including recent chrome work and a refurbished headlining. The interior retains its lovely original character, with leather upholstery, walnut veneer and traditional Jaguar instrumentation. The car has been dry stored and, being 40 years old, is now NCT exempt. This is not being presented as a concours car, but as a very attractive, largely original and well-preserved example of the increasingly desirable Series III Sovereign. There are some age-related imperfections as would be expected with a car of this age. The combination of the 4.2-litre engine, Sovereign specification, British Racing Green colour and documented long-term ownership makes this a particularly appealing example.
