Very rare barn find its a Peugeot 403 1.5 petrol 1956 This car is one of the first run of only 31 Peugeot 403s to be assembled by McEntagart bros in Dublin back in 1956. The brains and financial backing for all this came from a Dutch guy that was in the textile business in Dublin at that time whos only connection to a 403 was been a close friend of the peugeot family who wanted to expand into the irish market but due to taxation laws needed someone based in ireland to assemble their cars most of these 31 403s were given out to garages and potential dealers as a test bed to see how they would go, this car being one of them This is where it all stared with Peugeot assembly and distribution in ireland becoming Gowan in the late 1960s who are still here to present day There was a covertable 403 used in the tv series columbo back in the early 70s which most people will identify a 403 with It's an original irish car and has a Dublin registration Good and solid all round not like the cars of later years and they are extremely simple to work on too these cars were built to last and this is the first of the well built Peugeots that gained respect in places like africa for there durability The interior is surprisingly good after 70 years The Engine turns over. everything is there to bring this car back to former glory This is a restoration project but you are not going to find one of these again as there was only 31 of this particularly model built I will upload pictures by the weekend, im being realistic in my pricing here I do understand it needs to be restored I want 2500 euro for this car and i think im being quite fair at that Delivery can organised once full payment is made No time wasters I would like this car to go to a true Peugeot enthusiast as to my knowledge it's the only surviver out of the 31 first built
