This stand-out 1978 example in the extremely rare colour combination of Onyx Gold with Highland Green ‘top hat’ was ordered from new from the Rolls Royce factory and is believed to be the only of its kind in the world. With a mere 62k miles on the clock, this Silver Shadow is in stunning original condition having been truly treasured throughout its entire life by its 4 previous owners – the first being Douglas and Elizabeth Alexander of 18 years, the second being their daughter and son-in-law of 9 years, the third being a family friend, and the most recent owner of 18 years who imported the car to Ireland. In addition to being stored in a heated garage, the car has also been protected by its equally rare original Rolls Royce car cover which is included in the sale. The car is a joy to drive, too, with its famous handmade 6.75 litre V8 engine riding on the silky smooth Citroen-derived hydraulic suspension.
