Seeking W124 Estate/W201 190D/Audi 80/100 Avant

(1)I’m looking for a pre 1991 Mercedes S124 (if the wiring harness/throttle body etc has been done with receipts I will consider a later one.) The dream would be above, but with a diesel engine and a car that comes in a funky 1980s colour with cloth seats...and a Blaupunkt so I can listen to Nena and other Neue Deutsche Welle music whilst crawling around West Cork. Basically, day dreaming aside, it MUST have an NCT for at least six months and it has to be mechanically robust (to the level that you would be confident in hypothetically driving it to Stuttgart with your loved ones and back home again without ADAC cover to rescue you.) I’m not looking for a concourse winner as I certainly can’t afford one, but there has to be an honest S124 somewhere in Ireland that I can truly fall in love with and use for the next few years. I will be poking around subframes, jacking points, door and boot rubbers etc,, and will just walk away if I find issues, so please keep that in mind if you're making contact. (Finally, it would be a win win if I could PX Kurt - the 190e pictured above - against your S124. He starts, runs and drives and has never let me down* after a year of daily driving. Sadly, he has 52 shades of blue because I bought it from an old Kerry man who was reluctant to allow me to take it out of his shed last September - which was a good trick! Anyway, whilst he needs some tidying (which I'm attending to as I go along) he's a good honest car as is. -I'm basically seeking the same, but in an estate guise.) N.B. I want a W124 Estate , but don’t need one as the 190e does 80% of what the S124 would do and I keep doing preventative maintenance jobs to it, so, I’m happy to take my time and wait for the right car. (2) Update 6/9/25...I haven't had any luck finding a S124 diesel, so am not also looking for a 190D, Audi 80/100 Avant. Conditions (NCT etc) as above. *yet. (Boxster has now sold.
