Volkswagen 1302S Beetle 1971 Sunroof VW 1302LS

A nice 1302 S for sale in factory colour L20D. The roof, the engine bonnet and the rear bottom panel have still the factory paint. Italian car from new. In my ownership since 2016. The first family owners kept the car until 1999, then owned by Mark in the UK who sold it to nearby living Dale in 2016 whom I bought the car from. Bettina (name given by the first owners) is not a concourse example and not a garage princess either. A bit of a project just like almost any other car of this age. Importantly, the car has serviced by its owner. New battery installed recently. In the spring I have replaced the flywheel seal and the inlet manifold (the engine gets fresh oil very regularly, which is very uncommon between huge majority of other owners). The engine is really sweet and runs like an Italian clock - not too fast, not too slow, but smooth, efficient without vibrations and feels at home in hot weather. The car has some nice features and factory extras like the sunroof or the arm rest at the back seat (something I have never seen before in a VW type 1). It will be sad to see the car go, but it is not used as much as it used to.
