Luke is a highly regarded second-generation surfboard shaper with more than 20 years' experience, who spent many years shaping and testing boards specifically for the powerful and varied waves of Ireland's west coast. El Planeador translates from Spanish as “The Glider”, which sums up what this board is all about. At 8'2", it has loads of paddle power and glide, gets into waves early and carries speed beautifully down the line. The wide, flowing outline gives it plenty of stability and wave-catching ability, while the refined tail and 2+1 fin setup allow it to turn and surf rather than simply cruise. It’s a really fun board for anyone looking for longboard-style glide and easy wave entry in a more manageable, manoeuvrable package. The board looks great with a great custom paint job and is in great condition with a couple of small repairs all carried our professionally by luke himself. Fins and board bag included.
