Once the issue was acknowledged, the team (shoutout to Mark Farson, general manager and Mark Purcell, the sales exec that handled the final handover) worked with me to find a fair resolution that worked for both sides. Communication was open and respectful, and I now have the correct car I originally ordered, which I’m thrilled with. Mistakes can happen anywhere, but what sets a business apart is how they respond. I was very pleased overall with Blackwater Motors when my VW Tiguan had a DSG mechatronic unit failure when travelling from Wexford to West Cork. The problem was diagnosed within 24 hours, parts arrived in 6 days and fitted within 2 further days. The communication from the service department was excellent, and Douglas was especially very helpful . The car appears to be fine now.
