I'm very pleased with the experience with Blackstone Drogheda. Very customer focused approach from Shona in finance and Paul in sales. Although after deeper consideration I decided to not go ahead with the first choice car I viewed, Paul riched me directly as soon as other, more suitable option showed up in the garage. Myself and Donal Waters opened Blackstone Motors on the 1st of November in 2007; there aren't enough words to describe how excited and nervous we were; but we were determined to succeed. We were appointed as a main Renault Dealer for Drogheda in August 2008 and promoted to a Regional Renault Dealer in December 2010. As a Regional Dealer for Renault and Dacia, we're responsible for New Vehicle Sales, Parts Sales, After-Sales Performance, Brand Marketing and Dealer Network Standards for the North East region of Louth, Meath, Monaghan and Cavan. I visited Deerpark Motors in Charleville seeking a wiper motor for my 2019 Dacia Duster. My local dealer was farther away, so I hoped to support a more local business. Unfortunately, the experience was the opposite of helpful.

1. Exorbitant Pricing: The only option presented was a complete assembly for nearly €400. For a single wiper motor, this price is unreasonable and feels like being taken advantage of.

2. Deliberately Withholding Information: When I politely asked for the official part number so I could understand exactly what was being quoted, the staff member refused to provide it. He offered no valid reason. In contrast, main dealers (like Dacia Cork) understand that providing a part number is basic customer assistance. Here, it was treated as proprietary information to force a sale.

3. Unnecessary Interrogation: I was asked, pointedly, if I had purchased the car from them—implying that service might be conditional on being an existing customer. For a simple parts inquiry, this is irrelevant and creates a hostile, unwelcoming atmosphere.

Conclusion: This branch appears solely focused on extracting maximum profit from each interaction, with zero interest in genuine customer service. They were useless unless I was willing to immediately pay their inflated price. Their attitude suggests they need every sale to "meet their bonuses," as you put it, rather than building trust.

Advice to Others: For fair prices, transparent information, and actual help, drive the extra distance to an official main dealer or seek out an independent specialist. Do not waste your time here unless you enjoy being treated with suspicion and pressured into overpaying.

Super team! Know exactly what they are at. Was getting shafted by Renault Trucks Ballycoolin for electrical issues on a Master Mini Bus, wasted near €2k with them and nothing resolved. The technicians at Dennehys diagnosed the issue in two hours and got it sorted quckily from there. Great service! Cannot reccomend enough.

If you want to pay 3 times higher for a horrible quality job go to Dennehy motors! When you asking to do something, make sure you confirm it few times and saw with your own eyes that they write it down otherwise it will not be done and you have to come again but even next time not everything will be on the list for mechanic! One of the job I was asking to do was to change coolant - well not sure if they did that but they charge money definitely- the coolant tank after service is dirty inside, maybe it is ok to drain the old coolant and fill up new one without washing the system in Dennehy but in a normal world it should be not excepted! Did they actually change the coolant at all??? Maybe they just filled up a little bit as it was low??? - actually they filled up not to the maximum level point but to the top of the cup! - actually exactly same story with brake fluid!!!!(((
Bolts! … BOLTS, man!!! - How proper mechanic can do the job and damage every single bolt he touched, and pulled out wire holding clips and never put back left them laying on the air filter box! My car is 10 years old and before I was doing service or myself or somewhere else and bolts never been damaged! Under the hood everything looked good before and now it looks like curvy hands were there! Not sure even if they actually did all the work they charged for! Maybe they just damaged the bolts to make it look like they did job.
I have m5m 1.6 L turbo and asked them to change the timing chain (I did a mistake and said “belt” when was in the shop) and guess what - answer was “you don’t need to do it as you have the chain and it’s lasts whole life of the engine”🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣! - that is why I want to change it - to prolong my engines life!!! I asked you to do so, I am paying money so just change the chain! It looks like official dealers interested to kill your car quick so you have to buy new one from them))))! Loads of people were telling me that if you want your vehicle done properly never go to official dealer and few ment exactly Dennehy - they were right! Beautiful shop with a very expensive very low quality service! I put 5 stars as 1 star will be hidden down and people will be fooled by Dennehy motors again.
