YAMAHA XJ650 Special (1980)

For Sale: Very rare 1980 Yamaha XJ650 Special. The bike is in very good working order and very original and in good condition for its 46 years. No frame corrosion or other significant issues. History suggests it was imported from the US at some point many years back and lay off the road for 12 years or more at one point. I have owned the bike for about two and a half years and carried out a light restoration on it as below. It is used on an almost daily basis currently and had proven reliable and a really nice bike to ride. • Carburettors fully rebuilt • New rubber intake manifolds and gaskets fitted • Front brake caliper fully rebuilt with new piston and seals • New braided brake hoses and Master Cylinder service kit • Rear drive serviced and Lithium greased • Rear brakes cleaned and reset • New Speedometer cable • New Throttle cable • New seals fitted on fuel petcock • New tank badges • Fully serviced (New air filter, spark plugs oil & filter) • Upgraded Oxford Foghorn fitted (Original still available with bike)
