Excellent car mechanical service and a fair price from a Main dealer. Bolands Mini. Everyone there is very friendly and helpful. Coffee and teas available. Car Service usually takes a few hours.

Avoid Boland's Mini/BMW dealership at all costs

I had an extremely disappointing experience with Bolands, what I thought was a reputable car dealership in Waterford city. I purchased a second hand Mini, which was a Japanese import, and was assured by the sales advisor that the onboard computer features (in Japanese) could be converted to English before the vehicle changed hands. This never happened and subsequently found out that it was never possible. Additionally, I was informed that the engine size was 1.5 litres, standard for this model in Ireland, only to later discover it was a 1.2 litre engine.

The biggest and most alarming issue is that the car they sold me wasn’t registered correctly upon import, causing significant issues with insurers, none of which were flagged during purchase. All this was bad enough but the most frustrating part was the aftersales service. The sales executive offered no solutions, then passed me to the sales manager, who promised a callback within 24 hours. A week later, with no response, I was referred to the general manager. The general manager admitted the car shouldn't have been sold, as the sales team hadn’t checked essential details. It was only 4 weeks later that I was given my money back after consistent chasing.

In total, I dealt with four different staff members over four weeks, each more unhelpful than the last. The customer service was abysmal, with the staff displaying a shocking level of incompetence and lack of training. I would strongly advise avoiding Bolands to spare yourself the headache. There are plenty of other dealerships with more knowledgeable and professional staff. An absolute joke from start to finish!

The guys in Bolands were great to deal with. They told me how long it would take and carried out the work in half the time. They also did a few nice touches to make the experience better. Like new wiper blades and air freshener. The service video was great and told informed me of things to watch in the future. Tyre depth and brake wear.

I booked in my BMW 5 series for a routine service, i was very happy with the wait time for the service which was less than 14 days. They done a full check of the car for wear and tear and supplied me with a video of same. The check showed up leaks in the back shock absorbers and thankfully they were under guarantee and Keith at the service desk ordered the parts straight away and booked the car back in for to get the work done. Would highly recommend Bolands BMW for their after sales service.

Fantastic team at Bolands BMW in Waterford. I was made feel like I was an important client even before a word was spoken about vehicles. Just the right amount of guidance, Information and customer service, without any pushy sales tactics. An extremely well managed dealership, fantastic people to deal with from sales through to finance and delivery.

The customer service here is probably the worst I have experienced in my life.

I have been ringing for a year to get a recall repaired. Being told every time that my car is not registered in their system. After taking my details and saying it was registered I was told it will be 4-6 weeks before they will have the parts.

When hearing nothing after a month I would ring back to go through the whole process again. Each time it would take multiple attempts to get through to someone who could help. Each time they would take my name and number to call me back. I never once received a call back.

After almost a full year I got a phone call finally for the recall but it was actually for an old BMW I don't own anymore. When I explained that wasn't mine but I was waiting for a recall on my current car they said it was registered to someone else on their system but booked me in.

When I dropped the car in on the day they did the fix and asked if I wanted a diagnostic on another issue at 2pm. I said yes. I received no updates after that. I called at 5pm to check if my car was ready as they were closing at 5:30. They promised me a call back which I never received. I arrived at 5:25 to check and they said they would be keeping my car as it wasn't ready without ever communicating this to me.

Really lovely staff. Service took a long time but car felt noticeably better after. Got a full diagnosis and everything was thoroughly checked . and they noticed I had only a two slot insurance /tax display holder and gave me a 3 slot one so I could fit my nct disc until along with an air freshener. Really nice touch.

Fantastic, professional and friendly service from Ken and Leah. Car was washed and hoovered and I was given a lift into town and back. They have a nice comfortable waiting area with free tea and coffee. I would highly recommend to get your service done with Bolands Hyundai Waterford.

Need to amend my review, the car purchase was great as described above but....there was also €200 voucher as a part of the purchase deal. I'm still waiting to receive it...no replies to my follow up messages, no update, absolutely nothing, been ignored. So I'm questioning the customer service now.

Very friendly, helpful staff. I waited around during the service and was always kept informed of what was happening to the car. It's all very transparent, with there being a large window into the maintenance bay so you can see everyone working hard. Tea and coffee are provided. Finally, not only was the car spotless afterwards, but they also removed some light scratches from the paintwork. Couldn't have been happier with the service, 5 stars.
