Purchased a stunning BMW from the lads a month ago — a hybrid with very low mileage at a highly competitive price for the Irish market. The car came fully loaded with extras, and the high-voltage hybrid battery is in excellent health, showing a capacity of 10.5kW out of 12kW, which is surprisingly good for a five-year-old vehicle.

The cherry on top, however, is the after-sales support. The lads are always available — they pick up the phone whenever you call and are quick to sort out any issues that may arise.

I’m always reluctant to give a negative review but feel it’s important for people to know what they are getting into purchasing a car from Beacon. I bought a car recently and after limited driving the hybrid battery failed and needed a full replacement , a huge job. I was assured the car was in great condition which wasn’t the case. When the issue came up I called a dozen mechanics including the main Toyota dealership and none of them would work on the car. They all said they don’t work on hybrid batteries from Japanese imports. During the sales process I wasn’t told that this would happen. I’m essentially in a position where the car I recently purchased is now potentially a write off because no local mechanic will work on the car. If you are thinking of buying a car from Beacon I would be very wary. The after sales service once the 12 week warranty is up is virtually non existent as well

Hi, I wanted to leave a review here as I had quite a bad experience dealing with a man i think was called Sterling or stuart. I bought a honda shuttle which as most of you will be aware is a Japanese import. I was told that if the car failed or needed new parts that Beacon garages could supply me with this part. I was given 3 months warranty and after 3 months and a half month, my car failed and i needed a new piece. Beacon were unable to help me get this piece and left me in the ditch. I needed to order elsewhere and it cost me €€€. Not a good experience at all.
