Recently bought a 2019 Toyota C-HR from East Coast Autos and couldn't be happier with the whole experience. Vincent was great to deal with from start to finish — no pressure, straight answers to all my questions, and he made the trade-in of my old Civic completely hassle-free. The car was immaculately presented and exactly as described online. It's clear they take pride in the quality of what they sell. Well worth the drive to Julianstown — I'd have no hesitation recommending East Coast Autos to anyone looking for a quality used car. Thanks again, Vincent!

Wojtek was very open, transparent and helpful to deal with on the sales side when we bought our Kona EV.

Had a few minor administrative issues post sale, but the team were very good about picking up the phone to call me if I had any problem at all.

great collection of Toyota and electric vehicles. Recently had a great deal on a Camry

I was very happy with everything when I bought my Honda Shuttle from them and couldn’t fault the service at the time.

Unfortunately the after sales service hasn’t been nearly as good. I contacted them on the 1st of August about an issue with the Android head unit in the car. The microphone doesn’t seem to work properly and people can barely hear me when I’m on a call.

It’s been nearly 7 weeks now and I’m still no further on with getting it sorted. Communication has been pretty poor and lately I haven’t been getting any replies at all.
It’s disappointing because everything was great when I bought the car.

I was genuinely disappointed with the way we were spoken to by David O’Brien.

We were seriously considering buying a car for around €11,000 and simply wanted to arrange an independent inspection before making such a significant purchase. The salesperson we had been dealing with was polite and had told us that we were welcome to have the car independently inspected.

However, when we spoke with David, the experience was completely different. He immediately focused on how much time the process would take, saying that the inspection would take around two hours and the finance process another 40 minutes, meaning almost three hours could be “wasted” if we decided not to buy the car. He also mentioned that he had around 70 other cars.

I explained that when someone is spending approximately €11,000 on a used car, it is completely reasonable for them to want an independent inspection first. We were not trying to waste anyone’s time; we simply wanted to make sure the car was mechanically sound and that we would not be left with problems after buying it.

What disappointed me most was the way the conversation ended. While I was still trying to explain our position, David repeatedly said words to the effect of “okay, okay, bye, bye” and abruptly ended the call. My husband tried calling him afterwards, but the call was not answered.

The salesperson we had originally dealt with was polite throughout, and when we mentioned what had happened, he explained that David was his boss and that he could not apologise on his behalf. So my criticism is not directed towards the salesperson.

We have dealt with other dealerships with even larger numbers of cars, and we have never felt that asking for an independent inspection was unreasonable or that we were wasting their time. When a customer is considering spending around €11,000, they should be able to ask reasonable questions and arrange an independent inspection without being made to feel like an inconvenience.

Unfortunately, David’s attitude and the way the call was handled left us with a very negative impression of the business and seriously affected our confidence in proceeding with the purchase.
