John Carew Car Sales

Quality used cars at great prices.

I popped into Drive Vauxhall Redcar last Sunday as my old car was on its last legs and needed a safe place to buy a car which I desperately needed for work.

I did not want a pushey salesman to jump on me as soon as I drove up which normally happens when I drive into a car sales room.

After myself and my wife has gad a bit of a walk round Alex came up to me and said can I help ?. My normal reaction was it's ok I'm just looking thankyou. Alex seemed to completely understand and said if I see anything just give him a shout and disappeared.

We continued to look at the cars and discussed the practicalities with my wife like don't you think that car is to big.

I fell in love with 2 cars SUV,s which I could not belive how cheep they where. We went back into the sales room and found Alex who was more than happy to help, he said if we could not find the car we where looking for he was happy to look at other cars in group stock which would be suitable to our needs and budget.

Myself and my family have bought cars from here before and the customer service and support have been amazing. Like most people you hear horror stories of people buying a second hand car and within a few days an engine light appears on the dash board and you end up in a whole lot of mess financially, and I did not want that type of stress.

I test drove both cars and ended up preferring an MG HS which I would have never considered. The price was amazing it was only 4 years old with less than 10k miles on the clock. I looked at the finance as a lot of people I did not have the money to buy .

Alex was patient friendly and knowledgeable. The process was short and with an hour the process was completed. I picked the car up 2 days later and was over the moon.

Within 2 days and in the mist of another heatwave I realised the air con was not working correctly. I emailed Alex who contacted me straight away and booked the car in straight away.

As with most families a new car or a second hand car is a big financial investment and we need to feel safe and Alex and drive vauxhall gave me that peice of mind I would recommend anyone who needs a car to pop and see Alex , thank you so much Alex and Drive vauxhall for giving me the reassurance of a safe and secure car purchase. I just want to say a big thank you to Chris from Drive Vauxhall Redcar. I purchased an Audi A4 1.4 Tfsi on the 28/07/26. I traded in my Ford Focus ST3 2018. I am absolutely loving the Audi, it's perfect.

Chris is an incredibly nice person, explained everything in a very clear and concise manner, really friendly guy and wish him the best.

I was able to trade my vehicle in and walk away with the Audi within 2 days, I appreciate the timeliness as I'm currently off work.

I will definitely recommend this dealership to others. I appreciate straightforward and honest business. 10/10 for me.

Thank you.

Fantastic experience buying my car from Drive Vauxhall. Ross has been so helpful finding me the right car that suits my specific needs. If you looking for a new car go and speak to these guys they will make the process so easy. My car was at another dealership and it was brought to Redcar for me to test drive with no pressure to then buy, luckily it turned out to be the perfect car.

Popped in to Drive, pretty late in the day (10 mins from closing) to look at car, Flynn came over to have a chat. At no point was I rushed out, he listened to my questions, and even took a different car out for a spin. Ended up getting the car!

Flynn was fantastic throughout the whole process and delivered excellent after care. It was a pleasure to dela with Flynn. Many thanks. #seeyouinthreeyears

Shocking service. A safety recall, fine, 'should only take a couple of hours', fine. Car is dropped off, 4 hours later trying to confirm if everything is OK, cant get through, no problem, we'll try later. Anyway, 5 times we try to get in touch, promises of call backs, 'escalations' and the only contact we get is a mail telling us all the issues with the car that they'll be glad to sort...for a price. We don't live far from the dealership and go down. There's the car parked up, ready to go.It's obviously in their business plan once they've got a car is to try and extract anything and everything they can. Don't get fooled.
