Wilsons Auctions is a family owned business, formed in 1936 by William J Wilson and is now directed by his son Ian Wilson.

The company has grown from a single auction site in Northern Ireland to become the largest independent auction company in the UK and Ireland with over 300 members of staff and an annual hammer total in excess of &pound;250 million.

As someone familiar with auctions, I would recommend the Wilsons Auctions Mallusk property auction team. The bidding registration process was clear and straightforward, and the auction was well-run and efficient, with purchase prices in line with general market values. Amber and Phil were friendly, professional and attentive throughout, which made the experience reassuring and positive. Overall, a well-managed and efficient process. Many thanks to the team.

I won a few lots in an online auction but many of them were delivered wrongly so I returned them and asked for a refund but after more than a year and many emails and time spent talking to no avail I ran out of items, and with the money taken.
Be careful with the auctioned lots, often the photos do not reflect their real condition, they may be very used or damaged, but nicely packaged, the description is useless, and you will not be compensated if you do not inspect the lots on the spot.
At the same time, you should know that the amount you bid is not the amount you will have to pay. To this is added the VAT, their commission and the VAT of their commission, making the final payment more often more than the value of the product.
Recently someone hacked my account, I suspected it was a technical issue or security breach so I asked for a password reset, but instead they restricted my account access, so be careful with them.

Avoid like the plague. Nothing but problems do not trust “Wilson’s assured report”. Took the car back to get it fixed because the report wasn’t accurate examiner said it was smoking on the second reinspection even though it wasn’t it had issues with the steering column, clutch& brakes, despite it not smoking on the first initial “assured report” and that everything else was fine. Then they took it to a specialist who said the exhaust wasn’t smoking, then today I just found out the car has been clocked. Sold the car at 1.5k loss, cheers.

By far one of the worst ever business I had delt with.
Not only they mislead their buyers by hiding details they also purposely misguide their customer to gain higher revenue.
Purchased a vehicle and it was not listed whether vehicle is a runner or a non runner. I paid for and went to collect the vehicle. I was told by one of the site staff that staff already knew it was a none runner and they purposely hide that to gain higher revenue.
I made the staff member write me a statement confirming that which he did. Contacted general manager John Ardill and he dragged the matter for over a month before issuing a refund and even that was after sending a legal notice.
Disgusting and disappointing experience. Will never consider dealing with them again.
