We recently ordered a new skoda Octavia Sportline from Bolands Carlow and honestly couldn't be happier with the experience. We received a great trade-in price for our car, and the whole process was quick, straightforward, and completely hassle-free.

A special thanks to Gary, who looked after us from start to finish. He was genuine, professional, knowledgeable, and never put us under any pressure. He made the whole experience enjoyable and is a real credit to Bolands.

What really stood out to us was how welcoming everyone was. Every member of staff we passed acknowledged us with a smile or a hello, making both myself and my wife feel genuinely valued. I recently purchased a Skoda Kodiaq and had a completely positive experience from start to finish! The entire process was smooth and hassle-free. I dealt with Ollie  over the phone regarding the sale. I found him to be  professional, knowedgeable, and never pushy. Anything I requested was done with minimum fuss.  As Ollie wasn't working on the day I collected the car, I dealt with Lachlan, and again I found him to be very courteous and professional. Everything was ready on my arrival and the whole collection process was done quickly and efficiently. I highly recommend them to anyone looking to buy a new vehicle.

I have never dealt with this company before (bought a car or got a car serviced off them), but I had to bring my car to a Peugeot dealership to fix a part. From start to finish ( before, during and after) the service was great. The women I dealt with were kind, courteous and helpful and made me feel at ease. The mechanics were quicker than expected and even power washed my car. It is probably the best customer experience I've ever had with a car dealership.

It was how buying a car should be. The customer service from Boland was second to none. Especially Cillian Murphy who was how I think customer service should be. It felt as though you were in safe and honest hands dealing with Cillian and Bolands. My husband has recently bought a Volvo from them also. At any point they are contactable and helpful. Appointment can be made. There is no invisibility in hiding behind desks or secretaries. They know there clients and actually help sort there request or problems out. Truly I think genuine customer service is disappearing but not involving dealers of Bolands of Carlow

Appalling experience in this garage. So much for the 262 Vw sales event . Not good for the Vw brand, I wanted to enquire about purchasing a Tiguan R Line 262 and trade in my 252 Skoda Karoq, however the sales man wouldn't even talk to us about a trade in. Now, he was pleasant and polite, but I found it strange not to even consider working with a possible customer on buying a new SUV from their garage. My first experience of this. Will never consider buying anything from this garage again or wouldn't recommend. Hope this garage always has enough business to turn away new buyers.
This section of the review was wrote on 20th May 2026, after reading the reply to my previous review and a phone conversation that occurred today with the sales manager from this garage.  At no time were we given an opportunity to discuss a trade in price, we were literally told by the salea man dealing with us that he "wouldn't give us a price" "your car is too fresh". When we questioned this approach to selling cars we were informed that he, the sales man,  wouldn't make anything on our car. When we left, we went straight to another garage in Carlow and traded my 252 for a 262, without any problem. The above reply does not in any way reflect what actually occurred when we spoke to the sales man. I would think more of this establishment if they owned their mistakes, instead of passing them onto members of the public, who would have been possible customer.
